"DUTY"
|
The Marine Corps has always
made the most of its assets, it is not an uncommon practice for a Marine to
serve several different roles outside of his MOS (Military Occupational
Specialty).
One of the roles a Marine
Aviator may find himself performing is that of the FAC or Forward Air
Controller. Once again returning to the age old dictum that
"Every Marine is a Rifleman."
Peter Laux was one of many, but
he is also one of ours. This photographic essay only touches on his service to
our Squadron and Our Corps.

Bunker taken by the 26th Marines. This
is a bunker that Peter's men captured on Meade River. Note the bricks used
in its construction, this was an area where there were many old homes
built of brick along colonial French lines. (Photo

I believe Peter would not want this to be his
"page of fame" but what the Hell he deserves it.
Thanks and Semper Fi Peter
