THE GRAFFITI BOOK

The following is graffiti recorded as it was written on the plywood partitions of the head in the Junior Officers BOQ at Marble Mountain Air Facility, mid 1970.  Everything was recorded verbatim and does not necessarily reflect my opinions.  I wanted to preserve for posterity this valuable reflection of the anonymous thoughts of those who frequented this facility – primarily Marine Lieutenants stationed at MMAF in 1970.  Occasionally a dialog between two or more writers developed reflecting conflicting views and I have grouped these together.  Where explanation is needed I have added square brackets [example] around my editorial comments.   Occasionally the writer boldly signed his (or someone else’s) radio call sign.  These I have placed in italics.  Read, enjoy, and contemplate…………….Mark Byrd, Scarface 47
